Our adoption fees are on a sliding scale: $75-100 for a single cat and $125-150 for a pair.
While we can sometimes accommodate walk-in appointments for our Adoption Center cats, we strongly encourage you to book a free appointment in advance to guarantee that we can help you. ADOPTABLE CATS IN FOSTER HOMEs

ADOPTABLE CATS AT OUR ADOPTION CENTER
These cats are available to adopt at our Adoption Center in Oakland. We offer two ways to meet them:
BEST OPTION: Complete our Adoption Inquiry form to schedule a free adoption appointment with our staff. Appointments are available Thursday from 12pm-7pm, and Friday-Sunday from 10am-5pm. Please note that there may be volunteers and other guests present during adoption appointments.
Drop in at 2869 Broadway in Oakland during our public hours. On Thursdays we are open to adopters from 12pm-7pm. We’re open to adopters and guests Friday-Sundays from 10am-5pm. Please note — it may be necessary to wait if our staff are helping adopters who booked appointments. If our guest reservations are fully booked, we have no space, and won’t be able to help drop-in adopters. For these reasons, we strongly encourage you to book an adoption appointment with us using our Adoption Inquiry form!
ADOPTABLE KITTENS AT PET FOOD EXPRESS

ADOPTABLE SHOP AND GARDEN CATS
While most of our cats find homes with people and families inside apartments and houses, sometimes we have cats in our care who just aren't happy living in such close proximity with people. They are most content living a more independent life, and prefer not to be social with humans. These cats need a safe location — such as a barn, farm, urban garden on a quiet street, warehouse, shop, or manufacturing facility — where they can be cared for and fed, and admired from a comfortable distance. If you're in need of a rodent control for your garden or a “shop cat” for your local business, these cats might be the ideal fit for you! Cat Town provides all necessary supplies and guidance for the acclimation process, and adoption fees are waived for these cats. Home To Home™ is a program that helps pets stay out of shelters by connecting guardians looking to rehome their pets directly with potential adopters. Please note that the pets on this page are not part of Cat Town’s adoption program, and Cat Town has not evaluated or assessed the available pets.
