THE CAT TOWN DIFFERENCE
Why adopt from Cat Town? Our cats are top tier, no doubt about it, but so is the level of support you get — each step of the adoption process and beyond!

1. Every cat, person, and home is different. Our matchmaking process considers your experience with cats, home environment, and what you’re looking for in a feline friend — all to set you and the cat you adopt up for success! Whether you’re getting your first cat or your 21st, we’ll partner with you to identify the types of cats who will best suit your personality, lifestyle, and home, no matter where you adopt.
Because our focus is on cats who need extra support, we may not always have a cat who’s the right fit for every home — but we’re always transparent when that's the case, and happy to help you think through next steps.
2. Our team REALLY knows our cats! We spend time helping each of our cats overcome obstacles to adoption — whether they need a boost of confidence, medical support, or a chance to de-stress. During their stay with us, we learn a lot about their personalities and preferences, including how well they adapt to change and what type of environment they thrive in. This helps us make the best match possible for you!
3. We make sure our cats are ready to join your home. Every cat you adopt from Cat Town receives medical and behavior evaluations, and is up to date on flea medications, vaccinations, and other baseline medical care valued at a minimum of $250. Our cats are always spayed/neutered and microchipped — and we even register their microchip for you at no cost. If you adopt a cat who’s receiving medical treatment, we fill you in on their condition during the matchmaking process, and send you home with medicine to keep them happy and healthy! For hospice cats, we offer to reimburse you for their lifelong palliative care, up to $5,000, with our In It for Life program.

4. We make adopting easy! We work with your schedule and comfort level to help you meet our cats in whatever way works best for you — whether that means an online video meeting, a closed-day appointment, or a drop-in consultation whenever we’re able. Cat Town is committed to removing barriers to adoption: we never use adoption applications or require home visits, and we’re honest and intentional about what makes a good match — no matter your age, income, or experience level. We benchmark our adoption fees to keep them some of the lowest among rescue groups in our region, offer an honor-system sliding scale, and provide a 20% off Pet Food Express coupon for every cat you bring home.
5. Our support doesn’t stop after you adopt. If you need post-adoption support, we pair you with a volunteer Case Manager to help you navigate the ups and downs of introducing your cat to their new home. No matter how long it takes, we’re with you every step of the way with advice and moral support to help you succeed!
6. Once a Cat Town cat, always a Cat Town cat. We want the best for you and your cat, and we understand that sometimes life situations change. No matter how long it has been, cats adopted from Cat Town are always welcome back into our care.
