Fundraise for the cats

For our 15th anniversary, we’re inviting our community to fundraise alongside us — to change what's possible for cats who need extra care and patience, so more vulnerable cats can get the second chances they deserve. We’ll be sharing your fundraisers here and on social media all year long. Just let us know about them by emailing quinn[@]cattownoakland.org.

Kareem: Running the Boston Marathon for our cats

Kareem B. volunteers with Cat Town as a Sunday host and weekday cat socializer, but his connection to our mission runs much deeper. This year, he’s also fundraising for Cat Town through the Boston Marathon — an opportunity he chose to dedicate to cats who need a second chance. We sat down with volunteer Kareem to learn more about this generous decision. Read about why he’s helping our cats here.

WILLOW’S BIRTHDAY FUNDRAISER

I’ve been on Cat Town’s board since its founding in 2011, part of a small group of Oakland Animal Services volunteers who saw that the scared, senior, sick, and under-socialized cats most in need of intervention were the least likely to get it. Nearly 15 years later, Cat Town remains a lifeline for the most vulnerable. Please join me in supporting this incredible organization, whose impact I've seen first-hand. Truly, I wouldn't have been able to keep volunteering at the shelter all these years without them!
