ABOUT OUR EVENTS

CALM CATS
& YOGA MATS

Find serenity with mindful yoga in the calming presence of our cats! This relaxing class is tailored for adults (18+), suitable for all levels, and focuses on breathing into the experience in our bodies in order to release deeper tension.

Doors open at 7pm, class starts at 7:10pm. Please do not arrive before 7pm or after 7:10pm. Yoga mats, blocks, and straps are available to borrow.

Cello Serenade

This event is for ages 12 and older. Spend your Thursday evening relaxing with our rescue cats and enjoying live music performed by local cellist, Susanna Porte. This special event allows guests to wander through our Adoption Center as Susanna performs classical and modern pieces. Enjoy the cello performance from 6:30pm-7:30pm, and come as early as 6pm to enjoy 30 minutes of extra time with our adoptable cats before and afterward!

PAW N’ DRAW

Grab your favorite sketch pad and put your life-drawing skills to the test! If you’re a fan of drawing, a fan of cats, or better yet, a fan of both, we’ve got the perfect night for you in our open Cat Zone. The quiet sounds of sketching intrigue our cats, so be warned — they just may try to help out with your artistic creation.

This event is BYO art supplies, with some resources provided on-site, generously donated by BLICK!

THE YARD SALE
ONLINE AUCTION

Cat-themed kitchenware, decadent dinners, classic Oakland experiences, and more! Join our annual Yard Sale auction and bid on everything from cat-themed jewelry to gift cards from your favorite restaurants and local shops. Best of all — every bid you place supports our mission: cats!

Game Night

Come enjoy a playful night of games with Cat Town's finest felines! Board games and card games are provided and are most suitable for ages 7+. Guests are welcome to bring their own games, or just bring themselves! During this time, guests have open access to our Cat Zone, cat toys, and our library of games. To maintain a happy space for our cats, and create a joyful experience for our guests, we limit our guest count to 12 people at a time. Register below to reserve your spot!

Kittens on the Green

Subpar Mini Golf and Cat Town are hosting Kittens on the Green! Join us to meet adoptable kittens and play mini golf, with half the proceeds supporting our rescue work. Tee times sell out quickly, so we strongly encourage you to book your mini golf reservation in advance. Donations are suggested, but not required. We hope to see you there!

Toy Making Workshop

Come make toys for our cats and yours! Learn how to make two of our cats' favorite toys — the cat captivator and the noodle! This workshop is suitable for ages 12 and up, and all materials will be provided. Guarantee your space with a $16 reservation fee.

This workshop includes approximately 15 minutes of instruction, 25 minutes of assembly, and 50 minutes testing your new toys skills out with our cats. During this workshop, you'll get practice assembling cat toys that can win over even the shyest feline friend, and will get to keep one for your own cat companion!

FULL CIRCLE CATS WORKSHOPS

REGISTER WITH FULL CIRCLE CATS

Bottle Babies

Learn the ins and outs of fostering bottle babies with Full Circle Cats! This orientation will help you determine whether neonatal kitten fostering is right for you and your family. We will talk about best practices and how Full Circle Cats will support you and your foster kittens throughout their adorable development.

You'll have the opportunity to join the Full Circle Cats bottle baby crew, should you choose to accept this special and rewarding mission. As kitten season kicks off, you may be invited to take home your own foster babies in the weeks following the workshop.

TNR 101

Learn how to do trap-neuter-return (TNR) in this free, in-person workshop hosted and led by Full Circle Cats! This workshop is for beginners and will prepare you to start trapping in your backyard and neighborhood. You'll learn all the steps to get started doing TNR — why TNR is the most effective approach to community cat management, the necessary steps to prepare for a trapping project, how to use a humane trap, and how exactly the trapping, clinic, and recovery days work.

ADVANCED TNR

Already comfortable with the basics of TNR? Do you want to learn how to use a drop trap, selective trapping, and how to get the trap savvy cats at your colony?

Join the Full Circle Cats team and learn the not-so-basics of trapping and TNR for community cats. This free hands-on workshop will cover advanced trapping techniques, unconventional trapping circumstances, and special traps. While prior experience is not required for this class, it is strongly recommended that participants have some knowledge of TNR basics and have successfully trapped cats before.

CAt Photography 101

Learn how to take cat photos that wow AND get your foster kitties adopted quicker! Cat photographer Era Reverie will share their expertise in capturing the emotion and personality of any cat at this informative presentation!

Era will present tips and tricks for new and experienced photographers alike to help bring your images to the next level, whether you want to learn to troubleshoot difficult lighting and compositions or get your cat to pose like they're modeling for the cover of Vogue — whether you dabble with a digital SLR or just love taking pics with your phone.

Please note that due to the size of the class, this workshop will not include hands-on practice or visits with the cats before or after the presentation. Proceeds from this event benefit Full Circle Cats and Cat Town! Nobody will be turned away for lack of funds: if the cost of this workshop would prevent you from attending, please contact education@fullcirclecats.org.
