Each of these adoptions was made possible by a collective effort: the shelter workers and volunteers on the front lines, taking in an enormous quantity of animals every day, our staff working with the shelter to identify the cats at the most risk and provide them with a safety net they can’t find anywhere else…
November 2023 Adoptions
November marked our 430th adoption of the year — making this the best year for adoptions since we launched America’s first cat cafe! Can we beat our 2015 record?
Dream's Story
When Dream arrived at the shelter with her kittens, she was frozen in fear, and would hiss at anyone who got too close. She was 10 months old — too old to be a Forgotten Kitten — but she seemed open to change.
Who Did You Save This Year (Part 1)
We love all our cats equally, and give each of them the best care possible to help them on their adoption journeys. That said, some of them leave a lasting impression on our hearts that we carry with us all year long. These cats each had some special connection to us and to our mission — reminding us why this work matters!

October 2023 Adoptions
Last month, we celebrated black cat month with 40 adoptions, including 7 black cats. At Cat Town, we know black cats rule! Whether sleek or fluffy; shy or confident; kitten, senior, or somewhere in between, these beautiful cats make great companions — just ask our recently-elected mayors, Cat Town alumni Baldwin and Jojo!
