I remember when you first arrived at Cat Town. You were pretty shy. But, volunteers and guests alike soon found that if we could sneak a pet, you’d lean in for more. And better yet, we’d earn some purrs if we started off by brushing you. Everyone who met you quickly learned that you loved a good chin scratch, but you also enjoy listening to classical music, and discussing weekend plans. Who knew you had so many hobbies?
When you moved to the big room to mix with all the other cats building confidence, everyone sat back and watched. You impressed us all by revealing that you’re a total cat magnet! The other cats all love to hang out and take their turns snuggling with you in your favorite cat bed. And, your best buddies are often cats who are part of a bonded pair. You’re the cat mom to all the cats in the Cat Zone! We also started to notice that you can tell time – five minutes before dinner time, you come running, accept a few pets, and dive in.
Cookie, the time is near when your ability to befriend any cat, soothingly calm demeanor, and beautiful tuxedo looks will lead to being adopted.
It’s been quite the journey since you were first found “trying to board the train” at the West Oakland BART station. While you’ve enjoyed your time at Cat Town, you will soon travel to an even happier place — your forever home. I can just feel it and know you are ready!
