Meet the adorable Guava, who is just the cutest and sweetest in every way. If you put in the love and effort she needs to thrive, she'll give that love and devotion right back to you!

Guava’s foster jokes that she’s a Studio Ghibli character brought to life, with her unique and goofy charm and those big, bright green eyes. She’s a cat who appreciates a calm environment. When first getting to know someone, Guava can be cautious and shy, but once you’ve earned her trust, a switch immediately flips, and her love comes pouring out. She’s very floppy and is always flopping down in front of her foster, asking for pets. Guava really just enjoys quality time with her people, whether it's snuggle time or playtime. She’s always making biscuits—if she’s sitting, she’s making tiny biscuits; if she’s standing, she’s doing a little biscuit dance; if she’s snuggled on your lap, she’s making air biscuits. Spending time with her people makes her happy, and she makes sure you know she's happy to be with you.

You can most often find Guava looking out the window, keeping a close on the neighborhood, snoozing, or seeking out snuggles. While she’s not very food-motivated, one way to win over her heart is by offering her a delicious meat tube to lick up. She's usually more excited to receive attention and pets when you get up to feed her than she is about her food.

When she wants your attention, Guava will walk around making the cutest little chirps and squeaks. While she’s a very go-with-the-flow cat when it comes to her schedule, when it comes to playtime, she’s very serious. She loves playing with wand toys in particular. She loves leaping high in the air for them and chasing after them as you trail the toy behind you. After a quality play session, Guava will reward you with a loving gaze and slow blinks. (If you didn’t know, when a cat slow blinks at you, it’s a sign they feel safe and comfortable with you.) She can also easily entertain herself if you’re occupied with a book or a Zoom meeting and likes batting around ping pong balls and other small toys. Guava also seems interested in playing with other cats, though the resident cat in her foster home doesn’t feel the same.

Guava is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and tested negative for FeLV and FIV. If you are interested in setting up a meeting or have more questions, please complete our Adoption Inquiry form!
