Come meet the Feral Change team, and learn how to humanely trap feral cats and get them spayed or neutered, vaccinated, checked for overall health, then returned to their colony.

Cutie Kiki is always ready to play! Break out the wand toys, and she will entertain you by stalking, scrambling, and jumping after them. A toy mouse tossed down the hall will send her running, and a bit of tissue paper provides loads of fun. If she pauses for a drink, you’ll be amused by the cute way she scoops water from her bowl with her paw. Mid-game, she might even roll on her back, and give you a glimpse of her belly! In focusing on these overlooked animals, we’ve helped reduce the euthanasia rate at Oakland Animal Services, Oakland’s municipal shelter, by more than 70% since 2011. In March, we had 35 adoptions! We’re so grateful to see these cats adopted, and to have a total of 100 adoptions so far this year! We have another 61 in our care — either waiting to get adopted or receiving the support they need to get ready for a home. We'll celebrate their adoptions soon, but for now, here are some of our favorite adoptions from last month. Thank you for making it possible for these cats to find families!
