Hibiscus is a discerning regal cat with gentle boundaries. She’s a lover of quite relaxing classical music and all things Churu. We're sure she is a lover of sunbeams and can imagine her blissfully napping her day away in a cozy sunny spot snuggled up with her favorite human.

For this special girl, a gentle (yet not timid) approach is best, confidence in yourself is key… if you don’t trust you, why should she? She loves chin scritches and head pets, and honestly pretty much any petting is welcome, even if you’re greeted with the gentlest of hisses at first. Once she remembers she loves pets, those gentle hisses (and maybe even a little trembling) turn into the tiniest of purrs and champion biscuit making.

Humans are an acquired taste with her and yet, when she decides you are “in,” you are showered with affection (quite literally as this girl drools when she is happy). She’s a master biscuit maker, constant purrer, does belly flops and would love nothing more than to hug you, your arm, and probably your whole self. Forehead kisses are something she tolerates after a while of building up trust together.

A quiet, peaceful home where someone is around often is probably best for this gal. Hibiscus would do well with a well seasoned cat aficionado: someone who can appreciate the discerning cat and the slow warm up that she will need. Believe us, the wait is worth it. She is a lover not a fighter and deserves the best that life has to offer.

Hibiscus currently receives daily medication for her hyperthyroidism, but is scheduled for a procedure to cure her and allow her guardian to safely discontinue her need for daily treatment. She's spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and tested negative for FeLV and FIV. If you are interested in setting up a meeting or have more questions, please complete our Adoption Inquiry form!
