darcy, 4 years, female

Darcy is a sweet shorthair who would make a great family cat. Her two favorite activities are getting pets and jumping for her feather toy! She's full of energy and would do well in a stimulating home where she can engage in lots of play. When she's not chasing her toys, she'll sprint around in circles chasing her tail - it's endlessly entertaining for her and her people!

Darcy is also a very companionable cat and loves to be held. She's quite comfortable being cradled like a baby and really enjoys her belly rubs! She'll purr up a storm when receiving pets, and will also hang out on your lap for tv shows and computer work. Although she may wander off to do her own thing, she'll often return for more pets and likes to follow her people around. She can be a bit timid and may startle at loud noises, but once things settle down she happily accepts pets from strangers as well!

Her foster tells us it took Darcy a couple of weeks to adjust to her new home, so potential adopters should be aware that she might need a bit of time to warm up to her new surroundings. Darcy also has feline leukemia. She's in good health and it doesn't slow her down, but she might require some special care later in life.

Darcy is spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, negative for FIV, positive for FeLV, and $50 to adopt.
